Grey Buchanan is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Trenton, TN who attends Peabody. Lean young build with lots of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a low hand load, lays the bat back flat in back, has a short line drive swing with an inside hand path, contact to all fields, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength. 7.15 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, tends to wait back on the ball, over the top arm action, throws uphill with developing arm strength. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a full high 3/4's arm action. Fastball was in the mid-70's, also threw a mid 60's curveball with some 11/5 shape and nice change up. Mixed his pitches well and had a quick and effective outing. Excellent student.
