Lukas Mehandzic is a 2027 C/3B/MIF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Westwood, NJ who attends St. Joseph Regional. Mehandzic works from a medium build with additional room and time to fill out as a '27 prospect. Primary C, starts from a slight side saddle set with sound controlled movements displayed. Quick compact actions present with ground gained effectively in the footwork. One hop accuracy down to 2B with developing arm strength displayed. Posted a 2.18 pop time. From the IF, showcased a quick first step to the ball with range to both sides. Attempted to change slots on the run, ultimately topping out at 69 mph across the diamond. Offensively, the righty started from a narrow base with a high hand set and high back elbow. Consistently produced contact back up the middle utilizing a small leg lift trigger. Line drive oriented approach with strength in the hands continuing to develop. Posted an exit velo of 78 mph. Good student.
