Owen Jenkins is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 5-9 188 lb. frame from Appleton, WI who attends Kaukauna. Medium, strongly build frame with square shoulders and present physicality throughout. Ran a 7.17 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, worked exclusively out of the stretch, knee to chest leg lift and works from third base side of rubber; high effort operation while working to a lower three-quarters release point with a full arm action through the back. Drop and drive lower half mechanics, quick arm and fastball topped out at 80 mph, mostly true through the zone with flashes of running life to the arm side. Changeup is nice secondary pitch, lots of fading life up to 70 mph and played well against right-handed bats. Curveball shows two-plane break with 2-8 shape and occasional sweeping finish. Lands off speed consistently and shows feel for both. Longer release on throws from the outfield, fields it out front and shows accuracy with carry to the intended base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a narrow and upright stance with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; load back well and uncoils into contact, incorporates physical strength to generate solid line drive contact with strength at the point of contact. Can create lift out front and rotates hard, swings with intent and remains direct to the ball with hands. Good student.
