Laramie Stoaks is a 2026 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Corning, IA who attends Lenox. Lean, athletic build with projection remaining. 7.12 runner in the sixty. Primary left-handed pitcher, operates from a compact full wind-up delivery with a leg lift up to the belt. Displayed athletic movements with good downhill extension. Releases the baseball from a 3/4 arm slot. Fastball was located well throughout the strike zone, ultimately peaking at 78 mph. Mixed in a slurvy breaking ball with spin up to 2208 as well as an upper-60s splitter to mistime hitters. Secondary outfielder, rounds the baseball well with some feel for his footwork at the position. Tends to field the baseball off to the side and attempts to pull down out front. Utilizes a full arm path before working into an over-the-top release. Delivered accurate throws on a hop with arm strength up to 80 mph. Left-handed batter, starts in an even stance with a relatively even hand set-up. Utilizes a simple leg lift trigger for timing before working into an uphill bat path. Limited connection in the stroke with developing feel for controlling the barrel. Tends to finish upright and limit his strength at impact. Produced softer contact to all parts of the field during batting practice. Projects for more power with additional strength and mechanical refinement. Posted an exit velocity of 70 mph. Good student.
