Diego Muñoz is a 2023 C/1B with a 5-10 195 lb. frame from Panama, PM who attends Panama. Recorded a 7.69 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a physical frame. Began from a staggered, higher stance behind the plate. Gained ground well and kept throws low, showing solid arm strength. Recorded a best pop time of 2.12. Also worked out at first base and displayed clean glovework. Worked methodically to throw. Right-handed hitter and starts with a wide base and even feet. Employs a deep load and a leg lift to initiate swing. Turns the barrel over well and has some lift to bat path. Worked primarily the middle of the field suring his round. Tremendous student.
