2022 WWBA West Workout Showcase (July 15)
Ryan Marcantel is a 2023 C/OF with a 5-8 143 lb. frame from El Paso, TX who attends Franklin. Compact, wiry frame with some added size in the upper half. Ran a 7.35 in the 60-yard dash. Outfielder, waits on the ball with a smoother transfer. Shorter arm slot and gathers it well on a hop. Shows promising accuracy on a line. Catcher, gains some ground with developing arm strength with good accuracy. Has good setup in his footwork and the direction is clean behind the dish. Right-handed hitter, even base with a toe tap load. Direct path with ease to the hands. Able to get extended out front and shows strength to the pull side when squared. Very good student.
