2022 PG Softball Oklahoma City Scouting Combine
Kennedy Thompson is a 2024 OF/2B from Santa Clarita CA, who attends Saugus HS. Kennedy showed great athleticism throughout the entire day, and continued to make adjustments throughout the combine. Defensively, she showcased in the outfield doing a great job reading balls of the bat and taking an aggressive first step to the ball. As she continues to develop shortening up her transfer out of her glove will help her get the ball back in quicker. This will only add additional value to her, because she demonstrated a very strong and accurate throw to bases. Offensively Kennedy is a stand in RHH who has a great barrel whip and good hands to the ball. Her swing looks effortless in the box and does a great job getting her barrel head to contact. She has good pop potential, but this can increases with the consistent use of her lower half in her swing. Overall this athlete has a great upside and a true passion for the game. Excited to continue to watch her develop and see where she takes her career.
