Jordanis J Duran is a 2023 OF/2B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends John W. North. Medium, high waisted frame with an athletic look to it and room to add strength. Recorded a 7.20 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with sound, aggressive footwork into the fielding process. Fields off his front foot with short, choppy steps into a clean gather and carries momentum into release. Produced online, accurate throws up to 82 mph during drills. Secondary infielder with a quick first step, plenty of lateral range to either side and a clean funnel out in-front. Showed the ability to throw on the run and from multiple arm angles when necessary. Recorded arm strength up to 82 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, open base with a high hand set, high back elbow and small inward stride into launch. Compact, line drive stroke with flatter swing path and quickness to his hands. Middle-of-the field approach with some feel for the barrel. Displayed tight turns on the inner-half and occasional impact from gap-to-gap. Quick twitch athlete with fundamentally sound defensive skill set and components to like at the plate. Good Student.
