Colton Gambill is a 2029 1B/3B, OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Carlisle, PA who attends Cumberland Valley. Larger, proportioned frame with some present strength and room to mature physically. Recorded a 10.10 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary first baseman with a developing defensive skill set. Incorporates deliberate footwork around the bag, a slightly deeper funnel to field and works into a shorter arm action to throw. Produced arm strength up to 64 mph across the diamond during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Used a shorter leg lift into balance, works down the slope efficiently out to foot strike and showed good direction. Incorporates drop-and-drive lower half mechanics, strike thrower with attack mentality. Fastball worked in the mid-60s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 68 mph. Showed developing feel for spin that will continue to improve with minor mechanical adjustments and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow base with a high hand set, high back elbow and short stride into contact. Slightly downhill swing path with developing bat-to-ball skills, best impact to the pullside. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments. Physical, young frame with upside as he continues to refine mechanics and mature.
