2022 Sophomore National Showcase (2025 Grads)
Joseph Chiarodo is a 2025 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Edwardsville, IL who attends Edwardsville. Medium athletic build with good present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, has a smooth and fluid swing with present bat speed, wrapped barrel load with a leg raise trigger, is well timed and under control in his swing mechanics and repeats well, gap to gap approach, nice base swing to continue to build from as he gets stronger. 6.84 runner in the sixty, has good young fundamentals in the outfield and works through the ball well, gets over his front side throwing and has arm strength and carry to his throws with one hop accuracy. Also pitched, high energy delivery that is compact and athletic, full arm stroke with good arm speed, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 87 mph, has been up to 89 mph this summer. Curveball had good shape and some 11/5 bite, also threw a promising change up to left handed hitters. Very good all around athlete with tools and skills. Good student.
