Brody Black is a 2027 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Argyle, TX who attends Argyle. Long and lean athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Has a basic side step/leg raise delivery on the mound and gets down the mound well, repeats his mechanics and release point very well. Fastball was in the upper 70's, mostly straight with occasional arm side life, did a nice job of throwing his fastball for strikes and challenging hitters. Curveball had short two-plane break and was also thrown for strikes. Good bet to throw harder as he continues to add strength, stood out for his command. 7.47 runner in the sixty. Worked out in both the infield and outfield with similar actions and arm strength, tends to stay back on the ball and get his glove down late, has some young carry on his throws. Right handed hitter, starts from a slightly open stance with a short stride into contact, has a well balanced and direct swing that was simple and well timed, mid field to pull side line drive contact. Excellent student.
