Worked from a larger frame with strength present, appearing at first base during defensive workouts. Wilks moved well into position before using a pair of reliable hands to make the plays, firing throws across the diamond up to 69 mph. At the plate, Wilks starts with an even base and high hands, working into a hovering leg load pre-launch. He then sent through a quick and accurate barrel that did damage to the gaps. Wilks produced exit velocities up to 80 mph. On the mound, the New Jersey native starts with a mid-body handset before working into a medium leg lift, firing down the mound from a long arm action and high three-quarters slot. Wilks got his fastball up to 71 mph with jump out of the hand and flashed bite. He mixed in a pair of secondaries, starting with a two-plane breaking ball and a change-up that he showcased solid feel for.
