The Marietta commit didn't fail to impress in all aspects of the game, as Moerschbacher was more than effective on both sides of the field. The primary shortstop showcased plenty of effortless athleticism from the infield with soft hands and clear zip across the diamond up to 86 mph. The dominance continued on the bump where he used a whippy low 3/4 arm slot to pound the inside half of the zone for strikes, topping out at 85 mph. Offensively, Moerschbacher produced loud contact every opportunity he got, flashing a repeatable line drive stroke with gap to gap power potential.

2023 Top Prospects

Jason Janesko  C - 2023 - Moosic, PA
East Carolina

Janesko showed some strong feel for the barrel with a consistent round of BP, really quick hands and loads of strength throughout his 6'1"/190lb frame, the ECU commit peppered line-drives into the gaps during his round. While waiting until live action to show off his power, the future Pirate barreled some balls up to the pull side that jumped off his bat. A 6.88-runner in the sixty and a 1.96 pop time, Janesko showed off his athleticism all day with an impressive workout.

Cole Egan  LHP - 2023 - Clinton, PA
George Mason

Egan asserted his dominance on the mound early and often during his two inning appearance, using a 3/4 slot and lots of push off from the backside to produce easy swing and miss life out of the hand up to 86 mph. With clear cut to the fastball, everything in the arsenal moved for the lefty including a slurvy 11-5 breaker as well as a change piece down in the zone. From a still projectable 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame, expect the velocity to only increase in the future.

Daniel Luko  OF - 2023 - Murrysville, PA
Uncommitted

Luko is an intriguing uncommitted 2023 with tons of quick twitch athleticism, clean defensive actions and offensive capabilities. He recorded a 6.93 second sixty-yard dash time, while also producing online, accurate throws up to 86 mph during outfield drills. At the plate, he uses his lightning quick hands to deliver the barrel with authority and produced several well-struck line drives.

A 6.73-runner, Kelly is a freak athlete that will only continue to make huge strides as he grows.

Jonah Richardson  RHP - 2024 - Carlisle, PA
Delaware

Physically built with loads of natural strength throughout his 6'0"/190lb frame, Richardson recorded the highest velocity during infield work, while also impressing on the mound. 88 mph from across the diamond, Richardson moved well around the bag at first and projects well at a corner position.
