17u WWBA Scout Notes: Day 1





Getting the start for the Jersey Shore Wildcats against the quality CBA Marucci 2023 was Cullen Condon (2024, Manasquan, N.J.). The young RHP carried himself with confidence and competed at a high level for his club. At 5-foot-10, 160 pounds, he is athletically built and has developed his delivery to a point where he gets the most out of his body. He uses a quick cadence, sinks deep into his back leg and works aggressively down the slope. His core is quick, and he accelerates through a low three-quarter angle and spins the ball at a high level. His fastball cruised at 83-85 peaking at 87 mph and showed ride in the top of zone. Condon also showed good feel with his slider in the low-70s, carving it backdoor to LHH and sweeping it away from RHHs. He went 5 innings today, allowing 4 hits, 2 earned runs and striking out 4. He is uncommitted currently but is a gamer and will be a quality arm at the next level.
