WWBA Underclass Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3

Adam Katz (2023, Bellaire, Texas) had an outstanding WWBA Underclass World Championship hitting .500, with four RBI, four stolen bases and a home run. The left-handed hitter has a lot of moving parts in his swing but looks to have a feel for the barrel as he sprayed the ball all over the diamond. While Katz can place the ball to all fields, he showed that he has pull-side pop as he mashed a ball over the right field fence on Sunday. On the mound, Katz tossed a complete game shutout, he was working the fastball in the low-80s and a breaking ball in the low-70s. In his start, Katz was pounding the zone with authority throwing 75% strikes and didn’t allow the opposition to get anything going. Looking at the FTB Tucci members career stats, this weekend should come as no surprise. Both offensively and on the mound, Katz has dominated and showed that he is a consistent player. There is a lot to like about Katz, he is a solid player that can do it on both sides of the ball, the frame is a projectable 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, and he is still uncommitted. Katz should be a name that teams want to have on their roster.
