Braxton Davidson Perfect Game profile

Position:  1B/OF

Birthdate:  June 18, 1996
High School:  T.C. Roberson
City, State:  Arden, N.C.

Projected Draft Round:  1

Braxton Davidson became the third player in 10 years from T.C. Roberson High School in Asheville, North Carolina to be named a Perfect Game All-American. He joined speedy center fielder Cameron Maybin (2004) and slick fielding shortstop Justin Jackson (2006) in that honor, and both went on to become first round draft picks.

Davidson also projects to be a first round draft choice but with a totally different tool set than the other two middle of the field athletes. A strong case can be made that Davidson, who is a corner outfielder and first baseman, is the best all-around hitter in the 2014 class, combining enormous power, a well-developed hit tool and the ability to take pitches and reach base.
