Perfect Game All-Americans Andrew Pullin (Centralia High School, Wash.) and Cody Poteet (Christian High School, Bonita, Calif.) were members of the Marucci Elite squad that recently won the 2011 WWBA World Championship that took place at the Roger Dean Complex in Jupiter, Florida.

The 6-foot, 185-pound left-handed hitting Pullin, currently ranked 33rd in the class of 2012, went hitless in pool play, saving his best for the playoffs.

In the first round of the playoffs against Team Rawlings, Pullin hit a two-run home run in a 4-1 victory, and followed that up by going 2-for-3 in the championship game, a 3-2 win over Central Florida PG Royal.

Pullin has committed to play for Head Coach George Horton at the University of Oregon. He is a potential 5-tool athlete running the 60-yard dash in 6.88 seconds at the Perfect Game National Showcase in Fort Myers in mid-June, where he also threw 95 from the outfield. His arm strength has also allowed him to succeed on the mound, as he can throw in the low-90s, but his future appears brighter as a positional prospect.

At the Perfect Game All-American Classic, Pullin went 1-for-2 with a booming double and scored a run in the West's 6-2 victory over the East.

Poteet took the mound in the final game of Marucci Elite's pool play, in which they went 3-0-1 to advance to the playoffs. Poteet went 5.2 strong innings, allowing only 3 hits and 2 runs in a 3-2 win over the Rays Scout Team. He used a 88-91 fastball that peaked at 93, as well as his usual hard-breaking curveball, one of the best breaking balls at the event, to strike out 10 batters.

Poteet's fastball topped out at 96 at the Perfect Game All-American Classic, striking out a batter in his only inning of work, and is currently ranked the 25th-best player in the class of 2012. He has committed to play for UCLA, and also is a very good overall athlete, running the 60 in 6.83 seconds while throwing 89 mph across the infield.
