For the most part, the Top 10 remains unchanged with some reshuffling as No. 1 UCLA (17-2) holds on to the top spot with yet another perfect (4-0) week after sweeping Michigan.  The No. 2 Texas Longhorns (18-1) did drop their first game of the season in Game 1 of SEC play but won the series against Ole Miss and finished the week with a (3-1) record.  The Georgia Tech Yellowjackets (17-3) passed their first real road test of the season at now No. 19 Clemson, winning that series 2 out of 3 and remain No. 3 in the poll.  Auburn (17-2) moves up a spot to No. 4 as they went on the road and won all 3-games against upstart Missouri.  The Arkansas Razorbacks (14-6) had a (2-2) week but move back into the Top 5 after winning a huge SEC series at home against now No. 7 Mississippi State (16-4).  The Georgia Bulldogs (17-4) jump two spots to No. 6 after their high stake’s series victory against rival Tennessee (14-6) who drop to No. 21 in this week’s poll.

The USC Trojans (19-1) did drop their first contest of the year on Sunday at Northwestern but continue their ascent up the rankings and find themselves at No. 10 this week.  The Florida State Seminoles (16-3) made one of the biggest statements of the season as they went to Winston Salem and swept Wake Forest (15-5) who lands at No. 23 this week.  The North Carolina Tarheels (17-3-1) bounced back from their first series loss a week ago by sweeping the Cal Bears on the West Coast and move back up to No. 15 today.  West Virginia (13-4) went on the road and won their series at Baylor and ascend to No. 20 in the poll this week.  There are three new entrants to the Top 25 this week starting with Louisiana (15-5) who jumps in at No. 23 after a (3-1) week and series victory over South Alabama.  Kansas State (15-5) comes in at No. 24 on the heels of their ultra-hot offense and series win at Houston.  For the first time since 2021, the USF Bulls (17-3) enter the rankings at No. 25 after their (4-0) week and are currently tied for 3rd in the nation in total victories.

WWBA Freshman Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2 Carson Garzaniti (2029, Jupiter, Fla.) showed the barrel feel all game for West Boynton Cobras. The right-handed hitter starts from a spread stance with his weight shifted forward and in-line feet with a high handset and an even back elbow, utilizes a heel lift weight transfer trigger. Creates some separation in the back shoulder and uncoils the lower half with a short, direct hand path and extension out front from a slightly uphill bat plane. Good bat speed in the swing with some feel to impact. The catcher has shown the barrel accuracy all event with three hits, including a double and triple, to drive in four RBI and has come around to score five runs. WWBA World Championship Notes: Day 1 ‘27 C Joshua Digulio (TX) opened the morning in Cacti Park with a bang. In his first at-bat of the morning, Digulio crushed an 0-2 fastball. The right-handed hitter powered a fly-ball through the Florida morning humidity off the back wall of the left field bullpen for a no-doubt solo shot. Everybody in the stadium knew it was gone as soon as he made contact. The catcher also worked a walk in his only other plate appearance. His home run was the only hit in the game, providing Texas Brigade 2027 a 1-0 win.  ‘27 MIF Xavier Martin (IL) woke up the stadium with an electric swing. The right-handed hitter was sitting dead-red on a 2-0 heater, got it, and torched it. Martin scorched a line drive all the way over the left field bullpen, as the ball cleared a near 20-foot wall and bounced onto the concourse. It was a two-run shot for the...
