PERFECT GAME HIRES ERIC BLAKELEY AS REGIONAL DIRECTOR 

Sanford, Florida (Friday, January 16, 2026) - Perfect Game, the world’s largest youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, today announced the hiring of Eric Blakeley as a Regional Director. Blakeley brings more than two decades of experience in elite baseball and softball events, along with an accomplished background as both a collegiate and professional player. 

Blakeley joins Perfect Game after building the highly respected Crossroads Baseball Series, where for more than 20 years he developed and operated baseball tournaments, college showcases and high school fall baseball leagues throughout the Midwest. Under the Crossroads umbrella, these events have helped thousands of athletes advance to collegiate and professional opportunities. 

A four-sport athlete at Greenville High School (Ohio), Blakeley earned Mizuno All-Ohio honors before continuing his playing career at Indiana University-Bloomington. At IU, he completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Sports Marketing while earning All-Big Ten Academic and Athletic recognition. Blakeley was later selected in the MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners and went on to play six seasons of professional baseball, reaching the Triple-A level. 

Following his professional playing career, Blakeley founded Diamond Kings Baseball and Softball Training Academy, where he trained hundreds of youth athletes annually. He spent the next decade owning and operating Diamond Kings while also launching the Crossroads Baseball Series in 2008. Through Crossroads Select Showcase events, Blakeley played a key role in promoting uncommitted amateur athletes to colleges and universities nationwide. That same year, Diamond Kings introduced the High School Fall Baseball League (HSFBL), further expanding opportunities for player development and exposure. 

In addition to baseball, Blakeley founded the Crossroads Softball Series and has operated softball exposure events for the past 15 years at premier venues across the Midwest. He has also coached travel softball for the past seven years, working closely with his daughters, who compete with nationally recognized travel organizations. 

In his new role, Blakeley will continue to oversee and expand all Crossroads Baseball and Softball Series events under the Perfect Game umbrella, while also leading the growth and development of the High School Fall Baseball League. He will play a key role in helping to oversee regional tournament and showcase operations, while contributing to the continued growth and execution of high-level events across the region.
