Class of 2026 Rankings Risers

Photo: Noah Wilson (Perfect Game)
Sean Duncan, LHP, Port Coquitlam, B.C.
Previous Rank: 117 | Current Rank: 39

Sean Duncan came out in Jupiter and put together a truly masterful outing, going 3.0 innings strong with 7 punchouts to his credit. He showed the fastball up to 95 mph, holding the low- to mid-90s, with good ride at the top of the zone, and feel to locate it in the lower half as well. He also has a devilish sweeper in the low- to mid-80s, with spin in the 2,700s and the ability to land it at will. He’ll turn over the occasional upper-80s changeup as well. It was an impressive show of dominance from the left-handed pitcher, who made some noise and saw himself climb up the rankings into the Top 50.

Jace Mataczynski, SS, Hudson, Wisc.
Previous Rank: 500 | Current Rank: 79

Mataczynski made serious noise this year on the circuit, and his fall performance wrapped things up in a big way. He finished the year hitting .523/.632/.909 with 5 doubles, 3 triples, and 2 home runs to his credit. He plated 19 runs and managed 13 walks to 12 strikeouts over 44 at-bats. Mataczynski flashed the tools loudly, both at shortstop and at the plate. It’s a really accurate barrel from the right side, and the Auburn commit has a knack for being on-time and on-the-barrel to do damage offensively. It’s no shock that he went from being ranked Top 500 into the Top 100 of this class with his performance this year on the circuit.

Ryan Stedman, RHP, West Des Moines, Iowa
Previous Rank: 251 | Current Rank: 179

Stedman is another Midwest name from the circuit who has shown us plenty of years, but kicked it into another gear for his fall performances in New Lenox and Jupiter. Stedman garnered a nearly 75-spot jump and moved inside the Top 200 while also taking over the No. 1 spot in the state of Iowa for the 2026 class. Stedman was up to 95 mph in Jupiter and held the low- to mid-90s on the fastball during his fall outings at the Heartland Champions Cup and WWBA World Championship. He flashed the heater with riding life and a low-80s slider and upper-70s hammer of a curveball to attack hitters with. Between his two fall events, he totaled 4.0 innings, allowing 2 hits, walking 4, and striking out 7 opposing hitters along the way. It’s loud stuff and was truly impressive in the fall showings for the Iowa commit, more than justifying his move up the rankings.

Jayden Parker, SS, San Diego, Calif.
Previous Rank: 500 | Current Rank: 245

Parker, a California-native, spent some time this fall on the Midwest circuit with the 5-Star/Cubs Scout Team group and was truly dominant alongside a couple of other California natives on the team. Parker hit well and showed off his abilities in the batter’s box. It was a good year for Parker, who hit .354/.426/.521 with a half-dozen extra-base hits and 14 RBI to his credit. It’s a loud right-handed swing that can produce good results. He has hitterish actions, working at-bats well and finding ways on base, whether it’s a hard-hit ball pull-side, or a good piece of hitting-- shooting one the other way. Parker showed the tools in the box and at shortstop this year, especially in the fall, helping the Hoosiers commit move up over 250 spots in the latest update.

Dylan Fairchild, SS, Wixom, Mich.
Previous Rank: 427 | Current Rank: 195

Fairchild swung it well this year on the circuit, showing good feel for the barrel and an ability to impact the baseball. It was a good showing at the WWBA World Championship in 2025, tallying a handful of hits, with a double, a triple, and a home run with 5 RBI to his credit. He hit .520/.606/.880 with a half dozen extra-base hits and 10 RBI on the year in all of his PG events. He’s a Cincinnati commit who got it done offensively and has become a “buzzy” name on the circuit, especially with a good performance in Jupiter. The right-handed bat has a functional swing that allows him to get it done, and his performance helped him move up inside of the Top 200.

Noah Wilson, OF, McCallie School (TN)
Previous Rank: 30 | Current Rank: 10

Wilson performed at all stops this summer/fall, earning a jump into the Top-10. The Vanderbilt commit started his summer by earning an All-Tournament team selection at the 17u WWBA National Championship and followed it with a strong performance at PG National. After a stop at the All-American Classic, Wilson capped off the year with a stellar showing down in Jupiter. A feel to hit and impressive power turned heads, posting a 1.455 OPS and earning another All-Tournament selection. The loud offensive skill set and consistent production make Wilson one of the premier prospects in the class.

Blake Bowen, OF, JSerra Catholic HS (CA)
Previous Rank: 23 | Current Rank: 15

Bowen posted monster numbers throughout the 2025 circuit, earning a jump into the Top-15. The Oregon State commit slashed .400/.500/.564 across 22 games with 12 SB and impressive impact off the barrel. Bowen is a physical right-handed hitting slugger that brings an array of skills to the plate. The upside is obvious and the performance this year was amongst the best in the class.

Trevor Condon, OF, Etowah HS (GA)
Previous Rank: 57 | Current Rank: 27

Condon jumped 30 spots after posting a .423/.573/.712 slashline in 75 plate appearances with 10 extra-base hits and twice the amount of walks to strikeouts this summer/fall. The Tennessee commit shows an incredible feel to hit. There is advanced bat to ball skills with the ability to spray hard contact to all fields. The power continues to grow, making for a lethal offensive skill set. Condon just continues to get better and looks to be in line to continue to rise up the rankings.

Judah Ota, OF, Iolani HS (HI)
Previous Rank: 94 | Current Rank: 64

Ota is another player that jumped 30 spots, all the way up to 64th overall in the class. The top-ranked player out of Hawaii features a physical 6-foot-5, 210-pound frame with loads of projection. The left-handed hitting Ota has massive power potential that already shows up in-game, posting a 1.187 OPS over the summer and fall. A loud showing in Jupiter stood out as Ota posted an OPS near 1.300, including a monster 417 foot homerun.

Will Yow, SS, St. Anne’s-Belfield HS (VA)
Previous Rank: 500 | Current Rank: 81

Yow shot into the Top-100 in the latest update, jumping an astounding 419 spot. The Virginia commit is an uber-athletic shortstop with multiple plus tools on the card. Yow has a monster showing in Jupiter, going 6-for-13 with a bomb. Although the sample was smaller than most, Yow posted remarkable numbers with a 1.550 OPS, three home runs and just one strikeout over 22 plate appearances. The mix of tools and athleticism will make Yow a significant draft follow this spring.

Landon Brown, RHP, Iowa Colony HS (Texas)
Previous Ranking: 263 | New Ranking: 137

Brown made a massive jump after his loud fall showing. The right-hander committed to Mississippi State has been up to 97 mph and topped 96 mph in Jupiter with three promising pitches in a bending slider and running changeup. Brown has massive arm strength with some heavy life to his heater and has garnered a good amount of eyes in the process.

Colin White, LHP, Harrison HS (Ga.)
Previous Ranking: 264 | New Ranking: 38

Another huge jump by a prep arm as White made a statement this entire fall at PG events. The Florida commit has been 93-95 mph and topping 96 mph from a higher tough release and 6-foot-4 frame. His breaking ball is a banger, a low-80s hammer with depth and finish that plays. White checks all sorts of boxes and his immediate jump is warranted.

Asher DeLue, LHP, The Hun HS (N.J.)
Previous Ranking: 500 | New Ranking: 365

DeLue opened eyes in Jupiter and can flat out pitch from the left side. The Boston College commit was up to 92 mph with a full mix, including a quality changeup and a good breaking ball from an angled release. He’s real projectable and moves well with a ton of starter traits to build upon.

Blake Krushinski, RHP, Fox Chapel Area HS (Pa.)
Previous Ranking: 490 | New Ranking: 200

Kushinski is another major standout after a huge fall. The West Virginia commit came out 93-95 mph with a good 82-84 mph slider with some real good arm speed. He stood out in a major way in Jupiter and put together a stellar outing with big eyes in attendance.

Ethan Offing, SS, Dutch Fork HS (S.C.)
Previous Ranking: 330 | New Ranking: 186

Offing showed well this entire fall, a versatile twitchy athlete with budding tools on both sides. The Clemson commit lived on the barrel in Jupiter, including a no-doubt homer and flashing the leather at multiple spots. He strung together multiple 98-plus exit velocities and has serious juice.

-Isaiah Burrows

Will Adams, OF/LHP, Hoover HS (Ala.)
Previous Ranking:185  | New Ranking: 122

The LSU commit hit in a big way at all the summer stops to earn his 2026 rankings bump. It's a clean left-handed hack that continues to trend positively in terms of in game power. Elite feel to barrel present and has drawn comps to multi-time all-star, Michael Brantley, for his polished offensive approach. Adams is also a talented left-handed pitcher that will command the low 90’s fastball, changeup and sharp breaking ball. Last outing in Hoover during the fall, he was dominant with a real weapon left on left.

Sean Dunlap, C/OF, Crown Point HS (Ind.)
Previous Ranking: 85 | New ranking:41

One of my favorite looks of the 2025 Area Code games, Dunlap just continued to shine through the end of the summer and really put a bow on it in Jupiter for the WWBA Worlds. Athletic tooled up mold that has a real chance to stick behind the dish. It’s an advanced swing that gets to sharp impacts. Chance for plus tools across the board.

Winston Pennant, OF, Sumner HS (FL)
Previous Ranking: 240 | New ranking: 120

The Ole Miss commit is quickly climbing the rankings after a strong showing at the WWBA Worlds. The performance included a clutch pull side homer and 107 EV triple that split the alley in a flash. Big juice present with a strong lower half and heavy hands at impact. Sound mover for the size and a prototypical right-hand corner bat.

Colin Driffill, RHP, Millard North HS (NE)
Previous Ranking: 354 | New ranking: 199

One of the more impressive things I’ve seen this entire cycle was Driffill throwing mid 90’s pellets in relief in about 40-degree weather in Arizona back in January. Scouts in attendance that night saw this major jump coming. Its a big physical mold with lively heater and quality secondaries to go along with it. Continues to trend towards being a power arm at the next level.

Will Brick, C/IF, Christian Brothers HS (TN)
Previous Ranking: 3 (2027 class) | New ranking: 5

First time I’ve put a “2026” designation next to Brick’s name and admittedly it feels a bit strange. That being said, this reclassification makes a bunch of sense. Brick has nothing left to prove to anyone at the prep level. While this isn’t a prototypical rankings riser, it’s a player jumping ahead a grad year and debuting at #5 on the Top 500, impressive is an understatement. The freshly minted Mississippi State commit is the best high school defensive catching prospect I’ve had the chance to evaluate with a surplus of offensive tools to go right along with it. You are not going to watch a more joyful player on any field than Brick, and if you watch long enough, you’ll come to the realization he is generally the best player on the field as well.

Most Likely To Make a Huge Jump in the Rankings in 2026 RJ Shields (2027, Venice, Fl.) Shields took some significant strides throughout 2025, especially on the mound. The fastball reached 95 mph in recent months and he projects well with great athleticism and a sharp breaking ball. Shields is also a left-handed bat with good thump in the stick. The Mississippi State commit shot up the rankings following a loud fall and looks poised to continue to climb. -KP High speed BP swing from '27 OF Gavin Ruvalcaba (FL)... #JrNational @Florida_PG https://t.co/OwU9I0u6eY pic.twitter.com/gjYZbmCPGE — PG Showcases (@PGShowcases) June 12, 2025 Gavin Ruvalcaba (2027, Hialeah, Fl.) Ruvalcaba had a very strong 2025 and looks to be continuing on that path. The Duke commit has plenty of athleticism and is very well rounded with good tools across the board. PG All-Americans: Where are they now?

Tyler Kotila

PG All-Americans - Where are they now? Every year, Perfect Game hosts its All-American Classic, one of the most prestigious honors for high school players across the country. It’s a storied event with 23 years of rich history — between the countless big leaguers who have gone on to produce incredible big-league careers, to future World Series champions, and players from more recent years who still have a whole road ahead of themselves. This week, our PG Draft Team has decided to take a look back at the history of this event over the years. Our scouts on the draft team went through and selected a PG All-American Classic from the past to discuss across three different eras. Over its 23-year history, we have divided it into three eras: the 2000s, the 2010s, and the 2020s. Our Scouts take a look at some of the noteworthy performers from the years they chose, and give a little...

It’s the time of the year again (i.e. the off-season) for the annual PG Down on the Farm feature.  We identify a top prospect in each of the 30 Major League organizations with as much Perfect Game background as possible and delve into that PG history for some insight into his development as a prospect.  Some of them might be high profile, high draft pick, ex-PG All-American talents who fans have been long familiar with.  Others might be more obscure prospects who have significantly improved either in college or as professionals.  Note that players who have used up their rookie eligibility are not considered. The idea isn’t to necessarily pick the best PG background prospect in each organization but the one who might be closest to the big leagues.  Sometimes that is the same player, other times not. UNC Greensboro Spartans 2025 Highlights: A year after head coach Cody Ellis led the Spartans to the SoCon Regular Season title in 2024, the exodus of impact talent caught up with his club. They started off the season in a promising way with a series win over Creighton, a mid-week win over Wake Forest and a victory on the road at Virginia Tech. However, they would end up losing 8 out of their next 10 games and from there the rollercoaster of a season began. When it was all said and done, the Spartans won 21 games, finished 6th in the regular season with 9 wins in conference play and would lose to Wofford in the first game of the SoCon Tournament. Dan Pardini, LHP, Class of 2026 Commitment: Penn State Penn State continued their Tri-State area recruiting trend, landing southpaw Dan Pardini out of Christian Brothers Academy. Pardini works from a medium left-handed frame with present strength in the lower half. He starts above the belt before transitioning into a sidestep windup that features a high and quick leg load. Pardini fires down the mound via a standard reach back arm action and a true three-quarters slot, with ease and repeatability to the operation. The Nittany Lions’ recruit operates in the mid-to-high 80s with the heater, flashing cutting action, while mixing in a sweeping slider. Most likely college player to make a massive jump up the board? Garrett Wright, C/OF, Tennessee Wright joins the Volunteers after two really quality seasons with the BGSU Falcons in the MAC. Wright has slashed .390/.505/.619 with 28 doubles, three triples, and 14 homers over his 430 plate appearances during his freshman/sophomore year campaign. He’s currently ranked 144th on the Top 150 MLB Draft Prospects, but I’m betting on a big year from the backstop as he settles in for the Vols. Wright’s got the upside at the plate and has shown it in the past; a big move up the board would be a no-brainer if he can tap into that success he’s seen before at the SEC level. -Tyler Kotila C Ryder Helfrick (@RazorbackBSB) deposits this over the wall for a solo shot. Most Likely To Make a Huge Jump in the Rankings in 2026 Wade Cozart (‘28, NM) competed in this complete game striking out 14 while filling up the zone consistently. At the plate, the left-handed hitting Cozart possesses a fluid stroke with sneaky power. He posted an OPS over 1.400 in a smaller sample this summer. While there are some tools on the offensive side, Cozart's highest potential is likely on the mound. The righthander was up to 90 mph in PG events this year already with feel for a slider and changeup shown. He pounds the zone and...

Brighton Fontaine, RHP, Class of 2026 Commitment: St. John's Fontaine made his pact to the Johnnies and Coach Hampton, as the durable right-hander adds another to the staff that should be able to garner innings immediately upon reaching campus. He runs it into the low-90s with downhill plane and heaviness through the zone, as he generates plenty of misses when in the zone. He pairs it with a two-plane slider and heavy faded changeup to complete his repertoire. The durability, physicality scream innings eater should the command take a step forward. Brent Walulak, INF, Class of 2027 Commitment: Marist Walulak makes four commits for the Red Foxes and Coach Ratchford, bringing a level athleticism to the group that should make an impact once on campus. The left-handed hitting infielder can handle all three infield spots effectively albeit is probably better suited for second long-term....
