PERFECT GAME AND SCHEELS SPORTS PARK AT LEGACY POINTE ANNOUNCE MULTI-YEAR TOURNAMENT AGREEMENT
Springfield, Illinois (Monday, July 14, 2025) - Perfect Game, the world’s largest youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, has announced a multi-year agreement with Legacy Park Sports, LLC and its operating partner The Sports Facilities Companies to host exclusive baseball and softball tournaments at the new Scheels Sports Park at Legacy Pointe in Springfield, Illinois.
Beginning in April 2026, Perfect Game will run up to 30 weekends of elite-level youth baseball and softball events annually at the state-of-the-art Scheels complex through November 2028. The agreement allows for over 1,500 games annually and is expected to draw teams and families from across the Midwest and beyond.
“This partnership is a big win for youth sports in the region,” said Taylor McCollough, Perfect Game’s Vice President of Operations. “Scheels Sports Park offers a premier facility that aligns with the quality and consistency Perfect Game is known for. We’re excited to bring our nationally recognized tournaments to Springfield and grow the game in a facility built for championship-level play.”
The deal includes flexibility for Perfect Game to expand midweek programming such as their newly launched league model and a shared commitment to deliver high-quality youth events that support tourism and economic impact in Central Illinois.
