College Top 25: May 19

Well just like that we have come to the conclusion of the 2025 regular season and prepare for what is sure to be an amazing postseason. It feels like we say it every year, but the parody of college baseball continues to grow and there doesn’t really seem to be a frontrunner for the favorite to win the National Championship. Life at the top of the poll has been a volatile spot all year long but the No. 1 LSU Tigers (42-13) remain the top team in the land for a second week. They head to Hoover for the SEC Tournament after taking their series in Columbia, South Carolina to finish the season (19-11) in league play.

The Oregon Ducks (41-13) move up a spot to No. 2 this week after they swept Iowa on the road to dethrone the Hawkeyes and secure a share of the Big Ten regular season championship with a (22-8) conference record. No. 3 UNC (39-12) went to Tallahassee and took down now No. 11 FSU (37-13) as both teams finished a half game out of first in ACC play. No. 4 Georgia (42-14) and Arkansas (43-12) round out the Top-5, and No. 9 Coastal Carolina (44-11) is second in the nation in wins and took the Sun Belt regular season crown outright.

Dallas Baptist (38-14) sticks at No. 13 after winning the CUSA title and No. 16 UCLA (39-15) moves up a spot and took home a share of the Big Ten regular season. UTSA (42-11) ran away with the AAC title and are up to No. 17, meanwhile, Georgia Tech (38-16) jumps in at No. 18 after taking the series at Duke and securing the ACC regular season pennant. UC Irvine (39-13) is No. 19 this week on the heels of winning the Big West Conference and Northeastern (45-9) moves up to No. 22 having won 24-games in a row and winning the CAA by a whopping 6-games. Kansas (42-14) is back in at No. 22 after they swept now No. 23 West Virginia (40-13) and tied the Mountaineers for the Big 12 title. Finally, No. 25 TCU (37-17) is back in the rankings and could have a case as a NCAA Tournament host if they make a run in the conference tournament.
