Battle of the Midwest Notes: Days 3-5

Perfect Game Staff      Marcus Thomas
Right-handed hitter and catcher Jacob Neutz (2024, Savage, Minn.) bashed a homerun his first at bat of the weekend, showcasing big raw power. Continued to work counts and got on base frequently over the rest of the tournament, also put in great work behind the plate. Imposing presence at 6-foot-3, 215-pounds, produces high bat speed and exit velocities. Uses all fields, homer to right-center, and displays bat-to-ball skills as well. Stance has good rhythm, small leg kick prepares him to attack the ball out front. Hands work on a level plane with some whip, powerful at every stage. Behind the dish, brought athleticism and blocking ability, plus a strong throwing arm. Neutz is an uncommitted prospect with a power-hitting profile.
