The Texas Senators are a star-studded group, but uncommitted 2025s Jack Buerkle (2025, Austin, Texas), Gus Begert (2025, Austin, Texas) and Caldwell McFaddin (2025, Magnolia, Texas) made quite an impression. Buerkle is a toolsy outfielder and high-end two-sport athlete with present twitch. He was all over the barrel a good bit with good hand speed and all-fields contact. The bat-to-ball skills and athleticism stood out, but he also ran it up to 87 mph from an athletic arm on the hill too. Begert was one of the better sticks, showing the ability to keep his hands inside and stay squared. There’s some solid feel at the plate and contact that plays to the pull-side gap. He
