Over the course of his outing that lasted three innings, Juan struck out seven, allowing just one hit, and ran his fastball up to 91 mph with life, as it just jumped out of his hand at release. To complement his heater, Vargas also displayed feel for an off-speed package that consisted of a changeup up to 80 mph with arm speed for sell, and a curveball in the mid-70s with depth and downer bite. A good athlete, Juan is currently uncommitted yet has been dominant in Perfect Game events this year with two strikeouts per inning average over 18.1 innings of work to just 9 hits.
