Establishing himself in the 2027 class with high-level potential on display was Dylan Stallones (2027, Franklin, Texas), opening the event with a loud start for Texas Twelve Silver. The young southpaw seamlessly dominated playing two classes up, going hitless through three frames totaling seven punchouts in an eye-opening look. He ran his fastball up to 85, mixed a sharp breaking ball with shape and late bite around 76 consistently and effectively. The breaking ball played off the ride on the fastball for a lot of swing-and-miss very well. The pitchability was impressive for the age, as well as his feel to maintain rhythm and show ability to adjust around the zone. Overall promising two-pitch mix present with repeatable arm action and athletic delivery. The 5-foot-11, 155-pound frame has plenty of development ahead of him to add to the mound with much more to anticipate. Should start to hear about this advanced left-hander a lot down the road.
