Conner Connell (2024, Luverne, Minn.) pounded the zone with strikes with a high 76% strike percentage out of his 89 pitches for Northstar 16U Navy. He allowed one earned run while striking out 11 batters with zero walks to keep his team in the game on the mound. He had a fastball that ran up to 85 mph with a slider at 74 mph and a curveball at 69 mph. He was able to locate his fastball all over the zone at a high rate, and his slider/curveball moved horizontally out of the zone to generate a lot of swings and misses and weak contact. He has a commanding presence on the mound standing 6-foot-4, 220 pounds. He is a potential power arm that is someone to keep an eye on for the rest of the summer.
