Short look at an interesting right-hander, Dane Parlin (2025, Highland Village, Texas), who makes it easy to believe in some great strides down the line to keep an eye on. Parlin punched out four with no hits allowed in his Day 1 start. He worked up to 85 after recently bumping multiple 86s with the fastball prior to this outing. The operation is in sync and the loose arm action is easy with some jump out the hand. His feel for two pitches showed makings of advanced pitches as he progresses, the fastball generates late arm-side run and can spin a tight breaking ball he lands constantly with 11/5 shape. Parlin is a two-sport athlete and transfers the athletic upside to the mound very well, plenty more to see ahead of him.
