Brex Caldwell (2024, Red Oak, Okla.) was quite the presence on the mound for Phenom Platinum. Large 6-foot-3, 215-pound frame was living around 88 with his fastball in this showing. He creates very tough plane at this level to find the barrel against. The Oklahoma State commit posted a solid three frames, and the development is enticing. Though the line does not do his first 2022 summer outing justice, we should certainly keep tabs on future performances. Caldwell is a very physical prospect with present pitchability and progressing athleticism down the hill, and already seen up to 90 mph. It will be interesting to see how the fastball continues to play down the road as the huge pool of 2024 hitters in the South continue to advance as well.
