Teams ranked in the top-10 of our national rankings continue to do their best to throw their collective wrenches into the machine that is the Top 25. This week was no different, as four teams in the top-10 lost their weekend series’ and five teams, half of 10 for those counting at home, went .500 or worse on the week.

Tennessee remains No. 1 despite a 2-2 week as the Vols rallied to take 2-of-3 this weekend from Alabama despite losing a midweek game using wood bats against Tennessee Tech. Nos. 2 and 3 are Oregon State and Oklahoma State, respectively, as the Beavers rolled over Long Beach State in a sweep and the Cowboys went on the road to take two from West Virginia and assert themselves atop the Big 12.

Arkansas finds themselves at No. 4 after sweeping LSU, while Southern Miss jumps to No. 5, in part due to their body of work and 4-0 week along with the fact that many teams in the 6-15 range dropped the ball this week. Miami lands at No. 6 after losing two on the road at Virginia Tech while Gonzaga and UCONN follow at Nos. 7 and 8, respectively. Virginia Tech is a big riser as they join the top ten at No. 9 while TCU jumps to No. 10 following their sweep of Texas Tech.

Texas lands at No. 11 after dropping two on the road at Kansas State, while Notre Dame and Virginia land at Nos. 13 and 14, respectively. Oregon is a big riser thanks to their overall resume and sweep over Washington. Two out of three new teams this week have been in the rankings previously as Florida State rejoins at No. 17 after sweeping Louisville and beating Florida in the midweek while Stanford rejoins at No. 18 after a big victory over UCLA. The final new team is Rutgers at No. 21, winners of 15 straight games as they stand at 30-6 and 11-1 in conference.
