Welcome back to Perfect Game’s coverage of the MLB Draft. This is our first in-season draft board update, following our standard procedure of doing a Top 300 in the winter and then not following it up until we get a substantial data set from the spring—which is where we are now. This is always my favorite board update of the many we do throughout the year, just because it’s really the one that checks us the most as far as what we thought before the season. These lists will change, of course, between now and the final one in July, but there’s never a more substantial shift than in the first in-season update.

We can’t start this discussion without starting at the top, of course. We’ve made no apologies for how we view Elijah Green, one of the rarer talents we’ve ever evaluated, and I’m absolutely including all the time PG existed before Vinnie or I came along to run the draft show.
