If last week was Tennessee solidifying themselves as the top team in the land, then this weekend was the Volunteers padding that lead by a considerable margin as they went to Nashville and swept Vanderbilt in their own park. The Vols maintain their lead as the No. 1 team, while the rest of the top-5 stays mostly the same with Oklahoma State falling from No. 2 to No. 5 and Arkansas entering at No. 4. Virginia and Texas Tech are at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, while Oregon State falls to No. 7 after a tough series loss against Stanford. Notre Dame rises to No. 6 after their emphatic sweep of the Seminoles on the road, while Miami climbs to No. 8 after sweeping Duke.

After around the top-10 things get very weird very quickly, as there was a huge opportunity to take advantage of a down week, which most teams didn’t. Texas stays at No. 9 after a hard fought series against Oklahoma but a 2-2 week after dropping the midweek to A&M, while Ole Miss climbs one spot to No. 10 after taking 2-of-3 from Kentucky. Vanderbilt lands at No. 11 and while we're not worried about the Commodores, they do have to start winning SEC matchups. Florida State was the other top-10 team to tumble and they land at No. 16, as the Seminoles are just 16-11 on the season while their offense and bullpen have to answer the call that their starting pitching is setting forth.

Georgia is the highest ranked newcomer this week at No. 17, as outside of their series loss to Georgia Tech last month the Bulldogs have been terrific. UCLA rejoins the rankings at No. 18 after consecutive conference series wins over ranked opponents with Arizona last week and a sweep of Oregon this weekend. Southern Miss took 2-of-3 from Louisiana Tech at home and they enter at No. 20, while Virginia Tech has a high-powered offense and enters at No. 23.
