Termarr Johnson (2022, Atlanta, Ga.) is the top ranked player in the ‘22 class and it is easy to see why. Johnson showed off the signature swing containing fluidity and bat speed that stands well above his peers. Advanced bat-to-ball skills and awareness of the strike zone combine with it to make him an extremely lethal hitter. It is an aggressive approach but not one that will expand the zone very often. All the traits of an elite hitter are there. Johnson also showed off speed that can make an impact on the bases, as he stole multiple bags throughout the day. It’s just another tool to add to an impressive offensive profile. On the defensive side, Johnson showcased soft hands that work through the ball well. A strong baseball IQ allows him to make quality, high-level plays when they present themselves. It’s an incredibly exciting profile filled with tools that should make him one of the top names of the board this year.
