The Blue Devils are heading into Head Coach Chris Pollard’s 10th year at the helm and are coming off a season where they stormed through Charlotte to take home the ACC Championship. It’s a veteran offense led by big left-handed power threats including Rj Schreck, who is one of the ACC’s top returning hitters after hitting over .300 with 18 home runs in 2021. Newcomer Alex Mooney looks like he’ll be the starter at shortstop from day one and is the early favorite to take home national Freshman of the Year honors after being the highest ranked prospect to make it to campus. The rotation also has star potential, led by the duo of draft-eligible arms in Marcus Johnson and Henry Williams. There are more solid returning arms including Cooper Stinson, who has a lot of starting experience and could round out the weekend rotation. The freshman class posits big excitement however, led by Mooney and joined by others like Jonathan Santucci, Devin Obee, and Fran Oschell.
