Chance Purvis (2022, Carthage, N.C.) is an uncommitted right-hand pitcher for the C35 18U Young who got the start in the opening round of the playoffs versus the No. 1 seed. He did not disappoint as he moved his fastball that topped 85 mph on both sides of the plate while keeping the hitters off-balance with a tight, sharp breaking ball that has 12-6 action. Purvis did not allow a hit until the fifth inning. He finished going a strong 5+ innings allowing only one hit and striking out seven as he pitched his team to the next round.
