Maddox Miesse (2022, Adkins, Texas) showed off a lot of versatility in a strong Canes Scout – Premier lineup. The primary catcher played a with good motor this week with more than enough glove skill and footwork to play middle infield with the best of them. He has easy actions with awareness for the infield and backstop with arm strength that translates well. Miesse has a good look at the plate as well, 6-foot frame with a quick-twitch swing and present strength. Very sound mechanics with an excellent feel for the barrel, he has established a playable hit tool and is a well above-average runner. He ranked sixth overall in the hitting top performers to finish up the 17u group. Miesse is currently uncommitted.
