13u WWBA Scout Notes: Day 1

Photo: Brendan Lewis (Perfect Game)
Andrew Petrock (2026, Pelham, Ala.) strung together a good outing for Canes Southeast 13u, where he tossed three no-hit innings, striking out seven opposing hitters. He pounded the zone with the fastball and worked up to 82 mph with occasional arm-side run. The right-handed pitcher showed a breaking ball that had an 11-5 break on it but did not use it much as the fastball got the job done. Petrock worked both sides of the plate, showing no fear to command glove-side without fear of leaving one over the plate. Besides his phenomenal outing on the mound, Petrock got it done at the plate as well. He showed a couple of good swings where he was 1-for-3 on the day with a double on a line drive that found the gap in left field.

After Petrock departed the game, he gave way for Connor Langdon (2026, Perry, Ga.), who continued the combined no-hitter for the next two innings. Langdon worked the low-80s and was up to 83 mph with good life. The southpaw had an over-the-top delivery that created some downward plane on his fastball, making it challenging for the opposing hitters. He overpowered with the fastball and finished the day with three punchouts to show for it. Langdon located well, working arm-side to get right-handed hitters chasing outside. He mixed in a changeup which showed occasional arm-side fade. Langdon gave way to Cade Cox (2026, Dallas, Ga.), who missed bats and closed things off over the last two innings to cap off the combined no-hitter. He struck out four batters and pounded the zone, getting whiffs and weak contact to finish the victory.
