We endured some chaos in the Top 25 as the No. 2, 3, and 4 teams in the country all dropped their weekend series, leaving room for teams below them to climb up. Texas was upset by Texas Tech, Vanderbilt was upset by Florida, and Louisville was upset by Clemson in a sweep. New faces emerge in the top-five as Mississippi State climbs to No. 2, Notre Dame assumes the top ACC rank at No. 3, TCU tops the Big 12 at No. 4, and Vanderbilt lands at No. 5 after their loss.

Texas falls to No. 6, while Tennessee stays put at No. 7; Arizona joins the top-10 at No. 8, Florida climbs to No. 9, and Texas Tech rounds out the top-10 at No. 10. The major conference races are starting to come into fruition which includes TCU, Texas, and Texas Tech as the trio atop the Big 12. Notre Dame leads the ACC following Louisville’s series loss and, not to be lost, No. 1 Arkansas remains as such and is in the driver’s seat to win the conference.

New teams to the Top 25 include two Conference USA teams in Old Dominion at No. 20 and Southern Miss at No. 24. Louisiana Tech is just on the outside looking in after their split with Marshall a week ago, but it’s looking more and more like Conference USA will be sending four teams to a Regional this year as all four contenders, also including Charlotte, are legitimate contending teams. Another crazy weekend is in store next weekend so be sure to stay tuned to perfectgame.org and be sure to check out our live College Player Report Database linked above.
