Recruiting Notebook: February 1

John McAdams      Tyler Russo      Jheremy Brown
Recruiting Notebook: January 18

Max Reichenbach, RHP, Class of 2023
Commitment:
George Washington

The highly-projectable right-hander has steadily improved his velocity each time out, while adding more strength to his 6-foot-5, 205-pound frame. With a fastball that has now creeped into the mid-80s, Reichenbach uses his length to create tons of downhill angle and plenty of deception. The vast projection that still remains for the 2023 grad is surely something that the George Washington staff coveted in their recruitment of him. Despite the large stature, the operation is fairly simple and bodes well for future velocity gains as he continues to mature. The secondary offerings are still developing but flash good spin data and replication that are indicative of future swing-and-miss offerings. The upside for Reichenbach is extremely vast and he will be one we continue to monitor as he still has three years of high school remaining.

Outlook for the Class: Reichenbach is the first commitment for Coach Ritchie and his staff in the 2023 class. With hopes of getting back on the recruiting trails in 2021, they will surely be looking to add to this class. Assistant Coaches/Recruiting Coordinators Rick Oliveri and Chad Marshall have proven track records of scouring the scene and finding exactly what their squad needs in each upcoming class.
