2021 Top Prospects
Christian Okerholm  RHP - 2021 - Austin, TX
Temple College

Another top tier arm that proves to be a prospect next summer. The Georgia Tech commit sat 88-90 mph while touching 91 and worked with a ferocious tempo throughout his three innings of work. Okerholm’s breaking ball is a true 11-to-5 shaped curveball that flashes plus vertical bite to the plate. As his arm continues to strengthen, his breaking ball will only improve. He faced the minimum in his outing and fanned five.

Kevin Duran  SS - 2021 - Cleburne, TX
Weatherford College

With some of the more impressive raw numbers at the event, Duran put together an excellent weekend in the workouts and in the games with a strong looking double and some advanced defensive actions. His 93 mph exit velocity is good for the second highest at the event, and he posted the top infield and outfield velocities at 94 mph and 93 mph respectably. Duran is still uncommitted and could be a fantastic late add for many college programs.

Carter Wright  C - 2021 - Blairsville, GA
Auburn/Iowa Western CC

Another impressive uncommitted backstop with a plus arm behind the dish. He posted the highest velocity by any backstop at the event at 83 mph, along with the fastest pop time at 1.88 seconds in the workouts. His overall tools behind the plate are next level ready right now. Wright generates a very flat barrel plane through the zone at the plate and has the ability to spray balls all over the diamond.

Magnus Miller  RHP - 2021 - Corpus Christi, TX
University of Houston

Although Miller didn’t have his typical top tier stuff on the hill after tossing a ton of innings this summer, his stuff was still strong enough to generate empty swings and plenty of soft contact. The Houston commit normally sits in the high-80's to low-90’s while touching 92 but sat more 86-88 with five strikeouts in his two-inning outing.

Nolan Self  C - 2021 - Sikeston, MO
Three Rivers CC

Another maturing looking backstop, Self put up some strong raw numbers as he tied for the second highest exit velocity at 93 mph. With a toe tap trigger and a slightly pre-coiled barrel, Self has the ability to drive the ball to all fields. He fires through with a flat barrel plane and extends with a higher finish. He’s yet another quality find late in the class of 2021.

Clay Westbrook  RHP - 2021 - Spring, TX
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi

Westbrook was solid on both sides of the ball as he drove in three off of two singles at the plate and sat 83-87 mph on the mound with a good 11-to-5 shaped breaking ball. He battled on the hill with his three-pitch mix and flashed brilliance in stretches throughout his outing. Offensively, he’s a switch hitter that shows great barrel control from both sides of the plate, and he posted two hits and three walks on the weekend.

Davis Luikart  RHP - 2021 - Austin, TX
Pepperdine

An interesting uncommitted 2021 right-hander. Luikart possesses a rubber band like arm action that whips the ball to the plate from a true three-quarters slot. Hitters had a very rough going getting on time to his 86-89 mph fastball in his first inning of work as it looks to have good late life to the plate. He’s still getting comfortable with his 11-to-5 shaped breaking ball, yet, it’s enough to keep hitters off balance from his strong fastball.

Tregan Hyder  OF - 2021 - Houston, TX
Rogers State University/Labette CC

The uncommitted infielder put on a show at the plate over the weekend with three hits, which included a no doubt high line drive home run to left field that got out of the ballpark in a hurry. With a high leg kick trigger and a pretty significant linear weight shift in the box, Hyder shows plenty of balance and control in his stroke and can really put a charge into the ball. His 88 mph exit velocity in the DK workout was top ten at the event and his defense was solid throughout the weekend.

Troy Johnson  SS - 2021 - Corpus Christi, TX
Davidson

The Davidson commit uses a low hanging leg kick trigger at the plate and drives the ball into both gaps with a slightly elevated barrel plane. In the infield, he recorded the second highest velocity across the diamond at 94 mph. He smoked a double that one hopped the left field wall in game.

2022 Top Prospects
Chase Shores  RHP - 2022 - Midland, TX
Louisiana State

The Oklahoma State commit proved to be a legitimate prospect with a live fastball up to 90 mph. Shores has a ton of projectable length to his frame and there isn’t really much question as to whether or not it will continue to fill out. His curveball already possesses plus late vertical break to the plate when thrown with conviction and his fastball will occasionally run drastically. He also had a strong showing at the plate with two hits including a double.

Grant Fahrlander  C - 2022 - Austin, TX
Texas

Fahrlander had the third best pop time at the event at 1.95 seconds and really impressed with his fluid actions and baseball IQ behind the plate. Fahrlander is quick and efficient out of his conventional crouch and gets rid of the ball in a hurry. His blocking skills and framing techniques are already plus and well on their way to being something special at the next level. At the plate he has a very simple stroke that looks to use the middle of the field and he posted the fourth highest exit velocity at 91 mph.

Reid Broussard  OF - 2022 - Denham Springs, LA
Troy/Northwest Florida State College

The only hitter with four hits on the weekend, Broussard showcased excellent plate presence and barrel control. In the outfield, he recorded the fourth highest velocity to the plate at 83 mph and proved he can seriously cover some ground both defensively and on the base paths. Broussard had multiple successful stolen base attempts on the weekend. His gritty mentality and versatile production is a coach’s dream.

Chase Sowell  OF - 2022 - Humble, TX
Uncommitted

At 6-foot-2, 185-pounds, Sowell looks like the prototypical athlete in the field that can do a little bit of everything on the diamond. He impressed in the outfield, making a myriad of demanding plays look easy, and posted the fourth highest outfield velocity at 84 mph. His 90 mph exit velocity was top ten at the event and he strung together three hits including a double in the final game of the tournament.

Grayson Murry  RHP - 2022 - Flint, TX
Uncommitted

Showed fantastic promise as a true two-way threat at the next level. Was up to 86 mph on the mound with a heavy fastball that gets in on the hands of hitters as well as possesses some natural arm side run. He shows confidence in his secondary stuff and has developing pitchability. At the plate, he does a fantastic job of using his legs to go down and get balls in the lower half of the zone. He also doubled to the left center gap in game.

2023 Top Prospects
Dee Kennedy  SS - 2023 - Fort Worth, TX
Texas

It just so happens that one of the best baseball names at the event is also one of the most projectable players. Although Kennedy failed to put up big numbers in game over the weekend, the raw talent and overall potential of Dondreone is somewhere up the near the stratosphere. Still just going into his sophomore year, Kennedy showcased one of the best power tools at the event with multiple long back spun baseballs to his pull side. There’s a certain intangible fluidity to his stroke that can’t be taught and he’s one to keep an eye on moving forward.

Addison Smith  SS - 2023 - Liberty, MO
Oklahoma State

The young infielder possesses a ton of present athleticism with already maturing looking actions in the infield for his age. He moves very well and in rhythm with the baseball while remaining under control. At the plate, he generates excellent bat speed for his slender build that has plenty of room to fill into as he develops. The future is bright for this young shortstop.

2024 Top Prospects
Caleb Hoover  1B - 2024 - Heath, TX
Oklahoma State

A young two-way threat that has huge potential on the hill. Hoover has a physical build with plenty of projection and sat 84-87 mph in his three-inning outing. With a longer arm action from a three-quarters slot, Hoover has repeatable mechanics with a solid 11-to-5 shaped curveball that shows great promise as his arm continues to strengthen. As his pitchability continues to improve, he has the potential to mature into a true prospect in the near distant future.
