15u WWBA East Scout Notes: Day 1& 2

Starting on the mound for Premier Baseball Futures in game one was righthander Weston Moss (2023, Spring, TX). Moss has a fastball that sits in the mid 80's but can reach the upper 80's as well. Moss will noticeably reach back for more and the 88 mph and 89 mph pitches will come out of his arm. What sets Moss apart is his feel and tight spin of his breaking ball. The pitch is a sharp breaking ball with good downward shape that bites late on its ride to the plate. He also flashes a changeup with good dive to it giving him an advanced three pitch mix and good pitchability. The Texas A&M commit was dominant from start to finish as he went four innings on a 45 pitch limit with just one hit allowed, no walks and six strikeouts. Moss throws with some intent, a fast arm that stays full through the back and a frame that projects for more as he fills out physically.
