It was a great start to the Thursday morning set of games when Cannons Baseball Academy 2022 American and FTB/SF Giants Scout Team 2022 squared off. Both started intriguing lefties. Alex Walsh (2022 Boynton Beach, FL) toed the rubber for CBA and Jamie Arnold (2022 Tampa, FL) made the start for FTB.



Walsh is a 6-3, 165 pound southpaw that has exciting upside. He stays in line and has a whippy arm, the body and arm action will add easy velocity as he continues to mature. He peaked at 84 mph and the pitch had some sink to it. His low 3/4 slot gave a tough look as he heavily mixed a sweeping breaking ball and fading changeup. The ability to tuck the fastball tight under right-handed hitters hands was a real difference maker. This should be a riser as he adds strength.
