RJ Thomae (2024, Hartford, Wis.) put together one of the best single-game performances of the day during a Hitters 2024 Grads victory on Friday, going 3 for 4 with a pair of triples and four RBI. Thomae’s bat speed and feel for the barrel immediately stands out, as the centerfielder was able to get his hands extended and drive the baseball to and through both gaps. Thomae’s mature approach plays well out of the leadoff spot, putting together quality at-bats with consistency.
Defensively, Thomae plays comfortable in the outfield with good first-step reads and young arm strength that will continue to improve with added strength and size. A well-rounded player, Thomae has all the makings of the next player in line in what has long been a development-heavy Hitters Baseball program.
