13u World Series Notes: Day 1

The ultra-competitive two-way player for the Alamo Drillers Premier National showed tools on both sides of the ball. Landon Schaefer (2025 Fayetteville, AR) is tall with long limbs and slender waist. He has fluid hips and a quick arm that peaked in the upper 70s on the mound. He gets good extension on release creating some angle. As he matures, he will repeat and hold the ground effectively and be a fun arm to watch develop. He has similar upside offensively and lots of length to his swing, with good bat speed. He hit a double on Tuesday while also showing good feel, making a couple difficult plays over the first couple days.
