Bowen has established himself as one of the better backstops in the country at his age, thanks to a well-rounded skill set, sporting a physical 5-11, 195 pound frame with flexibility to his actions. His actions behind the plate should allow him to remain behind the plate at the next level, though his athleticism provides some defensive versatility as well as two-way potential. Bowen’s hands are plenty strong with strength in his wrists, allowing him to stick pitches around the zone while showing refined catch-and-throw skills and advanced arm strength on his throws.
