National High School Top 50: March 26
The High School Top 50 returns this week after a wild set of action in Southern California during the Boras Classic. Orange Lutheran holds onto the top spot in the state following a 3-1 performance, as their only loss came to previous No. 21 Notre Dame in a one-run game, while JSerra returns to the rankings following their victory and perfect 4-0 record. JSerra's record is a bit misleading as they've played a tough schedule with more than half of their losses coming during a trip to Alabama earlier this spring.

The top 5 now features IMG Academy (Fla.) holding onto the No. 1 spot with four Texas teams rounding out the top five. We've mentioned how 2019 looks to be a banner year for high school baseball in the Lone Star State and right now there's not much separation between Nos. 2-5 in the rankings with Colleyville Heritage, Lake Travis, Argyle and Cypress Ranch all looking very strong at the midway point of the season.

Teams in the Midwest and Northeast are beginning to get going during their seasons and you can already see a shift in the rankings to reflect the undefeated starts of some preseason Top 50 teams such as No. 14 Christian Brothers College (Mo.), No. 22 St. Laurence (Ill.), and No. 28 Malvern Prep (Pa.). St. Augustine (N.J.) had a bit of an underwhelming start and dropped out of the rankings while No. 10 Delbarton (N.J.) opens their season this week at the National High School Invitational (NHSI).

Nine of the 16 participants set to compete in Cary, N.C. are ranked teams in the Top 50 and they include No. 1 IMG Academy (Fla.), No. 6 Orange Lutheran (Calif.), No. 9 Blessed Trinity (Ga.), No. 10 Delbarton (N.J.), No. 14 Christian Brothers College (Mo.), No. 18 Harvard-Westlake (Calif.), No. 20 Desert Oasis (Nev.), No. 34 Corona Del Sol (Ariz.), and No. 43 Marist (Ill.) along with a bevy of other talented squads, including the runner-up to the Boras Classic South in La Mirada (Calif.). With so many ranked teams there are bound to be schools that move up or down based on their performance against elite competition, and Perfect Game will have you covered from Cary as David Rawnsley and Brian Sakowski will be on hand for all of the action.

New entries to the Top 50 include the previously mentioned JSerra at No. 40 along with No. 39 Winder-Barrow (Ga.), No. 42 Trinity (Ky.), No. 44 Aliso Niguel (Calif.) and No. 45 Bryant (Ark.). The season is really getting to the exciting part where nearly every part of the country is playing baseball and Perfect Game will be watching every step of the action.
