Super25 10u, 11u, 12u champs

SANFORD, Fla. – The fields of the Boombah Sports Complex is Sanford, Fla. were the stage for a trio of champions that were crowned Friday, as the conclusion of the 10u, 11u and 12u PG Super25 National Championships were conducted. On championship day, it was a triumphant one for the Mid Atlantic Show in 10u, Big Six Gamers for 11u and Hitmen Ultra coming out on top for the 12u division.

In the six-team 10u field, the Show took a 6-0 defeat on the chin in their opening game of the tournament to Xtreme, who would emerge as the only team to win each of their pool play contests. After that defeat, the Show kicked it into gear as they outscored their remaining opponents 40-3 to reach the semifinals.

In the Show’s 2-1 semifinal victory on Thursday over Triple Crown Kings, Henry Pancoast (2025, Hainesport, N.J.) tossed 4 1/3 innings and struck out four while driving in a run to help set up a re-match with the Xtreme in the championship game.

The title game was tight the whole way as the Show needed a run in the top of the sixth to force extra innings. In the top of the eighth, Pancoast’s RBI triple put the Show ahead for good, as the Show scored four times to put them ahead for good as they closed out the title with a 6-2 victory.

Pancoast named MV-Player for the event as he excelled on the mound with nine strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings of work, posting a 1.10 ERA in three appearances and batted .538 (7-for-13) with four extra-base hits and seven RBI.

For the runner-up Xtreme, Sammy Echeverry (2026, Kissimmee, Fla.) was selected as the MV-Pitcher of the tournament after not being scored upon in 7 1/3 innings of work as he allowed just three hits in three outings while collecting six strikeouts.

For the 11u tournament, nine teams battled it out and the depth of the event showed itself as four teams finished with either zero or one loss to their record.

Friday morning’s semifinal matchups were lopsided as the Gamers and Florida Surge 11u Scout won their contests 8-0 and 9-1, respectively, to make the championship game. Through four innings in that contest, the Gamers held a comfortable 4-0 advantage, but a four-run rally by the Surge knotted things up at 4-all in the fifth.

In the bottom of the sixth, Mason Lynch (2025, Conyers, Ga.) reached on an infield hit, stole second and third and was able to come home with the winning run on another infield hit off the bat of Joshua Westbrook (2025, Lithonia, Ga.).

For the Gamers, Kai Huber (2024, McDonough, Ga.) did it all over the course of the week as he threw 8 2/3 innings across two outings, striking out six batters and sported a 1.60 ERA. At the plate, he batted .571 (8-for-14). with four doubles, nine stolen bases and six RBI, and for his efforts garnered MV-Player of the tournament.

For the runner-up Surge, Taro Pustilnik (2024, Lake Worth, Fla.) was the selection as MV-Pitcher for the week, in large part to his dominating performance on Thursday as he threw a perfect game in a 4-0 victory over the CF Avengers. Pustilnik struck out 11 hitters, and on top of another outing in which he tossed three scoreless innings earlier in the week, he finished with nine scoreless innings for the event.

The 12u event consisted of 10 teams in two pools, and the Hitmen Ultra went through their pool with a 3-1 mark and allowed only seven runs in their four games. In a matchup with Stickmen Pizarro, who went unbeaten in pool play on the opposite side of the bracket, the Hitmen got a strong outing on the mound from Daniel Gregory (2023, Davie, Fla.), who struck out six in five scoreless innings of relief to help the Hitmen emerge victorious 3-2 to advance to the championship game.

In the final, the Hitmen faced ECB 12u Astros Navy and the offense came alive at the right time for the Hitmen as they jumped ahead with two runs in the first and kept adding to their lead before run-ruling the Astros 8-0 in four innings.

For the Hitmen, Samuel Soto (2024, Miami, Fla.) was outstanding on the mound in the championship game, striking out seven over three innings, and Gregory had a double and scored two runs. For Gregory, it was an end to a week that saw him earn MV-Player honors for his efforts in the semifinal on the mound as he finished the tournament with 11 strikeouts in eight scoreless innings over two appearances. He also finished with a .500 average (5-for-10) with a pair of doubles and a home run at the plate.

For the runner-up Astros, Blake Gartner (2024, Roswell, Ga.) was selected as the MV-Pitcher as he threw six innings over two outings while allowing just one hit and posted a 1.20 ERA.
