VOTE! Perect Game USA to Announce New National Underclass Showcase Session August 28!

For immediate release

Aug. 20, 2007 –Perfect Game will announce a New National Underclass Showcase Session Tuesday, Aug. 28! Perfect Game has given people two choices and the opportunity to “vote” for their preferred session. Perfect Game will announce the new session to Mesa, Arizona Nov. 3-4, 2007 or Fort Myers, Florida Jan. 5-6, 2008.
The National Underclass Showcase December 28-30, is the largest individual showcase event that Perfect Game runs. Each year over 500 talented underclassmen from across the country show their skills in front of the Perfect Game scouting staff and a large gathering of scouts. One year there were players from as many as 41 states and 5 countries present. The warm Florida weather in Fort Myers is perfect for families looking for a post-Christmas vacation from northern states and the top level talent from Florida is always out in droves at the Main Event.

Jim Arp, PG National Showcase Director said, “Both choices provide great exposure opportunities for talented underclass prospects. The November 3-4, Mesa session would coincide with the uncommitted showcase and take place before the recruiting dead period for division one college coaches begins. It would be the only PG National Underclass Showcase that D1 coaches could attend. The Chicago Cubs minor league facility, Fitch Park, has been secured if Mesa wins the vote.”

“The Fort Myers session would coincide with the World Showcase January 5-6, which attracts masses of professional scouts each year. It would take place at Historic Terry Park if it wins the vote”

Voting ends at Midnight August 27th. The announcement will be made Tuesday, Aug. 28 on
