Fort Scott CC

Burley put together a solid all-around showing in this one. The primary outfielder has a long and athletic 6-foot-2 frame, and he recorded throws up to 83 mph. His left-handed swing is fluid and projectable, and there is definite bat speed and power potential as he continue to fill out the frame.

Palmer Boyd  RHP - 2024 - Sioux Falls, SD

Boyd is an athletic primary pitcher who flashed some two-way potential. He ran his fastball up to 82 mph with a loose arm action. He took a solid round of BP as well, showing quick hands and a gap to gap approach. He looked comfortable in the infield, displaying smooth feet and the ability to change slots and make plays on the move.

2025 Top Prospects

Cooper Hummel  1B - 2025 - Cascade, IA
Uncommitted

Hummel impressed on both sides of the ball in this one. The big lefty made his presence known on the mound, running his fastball up to 82 mph with control of a four-pitch mix. At the plate, there is definite power in the left-handed swing, and he showed the ability to hit line drives to both gaps.

Jake Miller  SS - 2025 - Marion, IA

Miller is a fundamentally sound prospect with some twitch to his actions. The switch-hitter showed promise from both sides of the plate, with quick hands and feel for the barrel. He picked up a well-struck line drive from the left side during the game.

2026 Top Prospects

Silas Riehl  RHP - 2026 - Marion, IA

Riehl is a young prospect with good promise on the mound. He ran his fastball up to 81 mph in this look, showing occasional late life and good whip to the arm. He uses his lower half well and flashed a sharp breaker at times.

2027 Top Prospects

Matt Ritchie  RHP - 2027 - South Elgin, IL

Ritchie impressed at his first PG Showcase, showing intriguing traits on both sides of the ball. He shined on the mound, running his fastball up to 80 mph with a loose and athletic delivery. He moves very well at shortstop and displayed feel for the glove with plenty of arm strength. At the plate, he can hit for power when everything is synced up and he makes contact out front.

David Hill  1B - 2027 - Flossmoor, IL

Hill is a physically-imposing figure in the box, standing at 6-foot, 240-pounds. He moves well for his size and shows good actions at first base. There is massive power potential in his left-handed swing, and he flashed it during the games with a hard line drive up the middle.

Rhett Lynch  C - 2027 - Bloomington, IL

Lynch is another young prospect who shows good power potential. He gets into his backside well and can really impact the ball when catching it out front. He proved this in the game, where he barreled one up for a deep shot in the pull side gap.
