2027 Top Prospects

Ty Lane  C - 2027 - Duncan, OK

Lane was impressive all-around as the top prospect in the young portion of the event. He's athletic and versatile as a catcher with a good arm and there's already a good bit of quickness in the hands offensively with the bat speed and feel for the barrel that'll stand out across the board.

Luke Loving  3B - 2027 - Bellaire, TX

Loving is 6'1/165 with tons of young projection and he impressed in the regard that he's got a chance to be pretty good long-term. He moves well at that size, held his own defensively and was up to 77 with ease on the mound while the left-handed stick was good in BP and in game where he was on the barrel a ton and had a long 2B to the middle.

Gabriel Rivera  C - 2027 - Tomball, TX

Rivera is also a young catching prospect that stood out across the board. He's a solid athlete who handled well at multiple positions, with upper-70s arm strength at a couple spots, and looked good behind the dish while some physicality showed in the swings he took with jump to the middle.

Samuel Arrendell  LHP - 2027 - Richmond, TX

Arrendell is a young primary arm with real arm strength at a number of spots already, 79 from the outfield and 81 from first base, and was good on the mound working in the mid-70s, up to 76, with short late run and comfort attacking with the fastball while flashing some feel to spin.

Evan Jessop  RHP - 2027 - League City, TX

Jessop isn't going to blow you away with the stuff right now but he looks the part of having a real foundation that builds into something good long-term. It's a really loose and athletic delivery with a clean arm, sinking the fastball into the low-70s, while there's tons of feel to spin a healthy shaped breaking ball with the depth and spin quality to project very well moving forward.

Adrian Ruiz-Magallanes  1B - 2027 - Houston, TX

Ruiz-Magallanes was one of the most physical players of the young group and it showed across the board. He's got tons of strength in the right-handed swing, which allows him to control the barrel well, and there's good feel at first base with the chance to be a talented defender there.

2028 Top Prospects

Kyle Behan  OF - 2028 - Houston, TX

Behan is really young but was one of the better pure athletes at the young event, running an event best 7.22 in the 60 and shows that it translates on the dirt, where he moves well, and in his left-handed swing where he has a good handle, found the barrel in game and has the right components for when he matures.
